How we collect data
We use PostHog EU Cloud to collect website usage data. Requests are sent through Haavn's first-party `/ingest` proxy and processed by PostHog on its EU-hosted infrastructure. PostHog uses cookies and similar technologies to gather this information.
Legal basis for processing
We process analytics data under the legal basis of legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR). Our legitimate interest is to understand how visitors use our website so we can improve its content, performance, and user experience. We have assessed that this processing does not override your rights and freedoms, given the limited and non-identifying nature of the data collected.
We process application, enquiry, and intake data to take steps at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR) and, where appropriate, for our legitimate interests in assessing and administering prospective client work.
Cookies
Our website uses the following types of cookies:
Essential cookies are required for the website to function correctly. These cannot be disabled.
Analytics cookies are set by PostHog to collect anonymous usage data. These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our website. You can opt out of analytics cookies through your browser settings or by using a cookie management tool.
Data retention
Analytics data is retained for 12 months from the date of collection, after which it is automatically deleted. If you contact us or submit an application, we retain the information for as long as necessary to assess and respond, and for our legitimate business records, typically no longer than 24 months.
Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data or share analytics data with third parties for their marketing. PostHog processes website analytics for Haavn in its EU Cloud. Application and enquiry data is delivered to Haavn using Resend, our transactional email provider. Data may also be shared with other service providers who assist in operating our website and administering the requested service, subject to appropriate data processing agreements.
